The workshop will be held at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Building, at 2101 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington DC in the Fred Kavli Auditorium.  This location, in the Foggy Bottom area of DC, is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest metro station.  A driver's license or passport will be required to enter the building.


Airports that serve the Washington DC area include Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA), Dulles International Airport (IAD), and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). 

Driving Directions

If you are coming directly to the NAS building from the airport, step-by-step driving directions are available on the NAS website. 

The NAS building has a small parking lot near the intersection of 21st Street N.W. and  C Street N.W. If the NAS parking is full, this website suggests other parking options including Colonial Parking (1800 G Street N.W.).

Public Transportation

The NAS building is accessible by the Metro's Orange, Silver and Blue lines.

1. Take Metro's Orange, Silver, or Blue Line to the Foggy Bottom-GWU station. 

2. Turn RIGHT on to 23rd Street N.W. when you exit the station.

3. Walk SOUTH on 23rd Street N.W. for approximately 7 blocks. 

4. Turn LEFT on to C Street N.W. (after the State Department). 

5. Cross 22nd Street N.W. The next building on your right will be 2100 C St. N.W. or enter at 2101 Constitution Ave. N.W.
